Sleep well, dream well.

Sleep baby, sleep.
Thy Father counts the sheep.
Thy Mother shakes the dreamland tree,
to send a little dream to thee.
Sleep, baby sleep.

We sleep together as a family.
We have a queen-bed with a king-single side by side.

We sleep well.
Just like our ancestors did.
Relying and trusting our mammalian linage.

Mein Spatz is firmly planted between the two people who love him most in the whole wide world.
Mama and Vati.

This will continue until our child is ready to sleep alone and wants his own space.

Maybe he wonders..... just as I did as a child......... where will his beloved fit when he gets married and has children?

The dreams and the bed can only get bigger.

Henry lays on his own side-car mattress on the floor beside our bed, guarding and protecting his pack.
Now that the cooler weather has kicked in he often sneaks up during the night and always finds the weakest link-Vati and snuggles under the covers.

Just popping out of my bubble..........to say....................

I hope that everyone can go easy on themselves because sometimes some nasty S#*T just happens.

Looking at a blog can make you think "Everyone else is just living this beautiful life and I am just crap!"

This is not true.

Bad things happen to good people all the time.

Husband/wife up and leave a good marriage.
Great children get nasty diseases.
Families face dire financial crisis.

The sky can even fall down- just ask Chicken Licken.

Things can just go from bad to worse before you can say HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I want to share some great Authors/books that have helped me, just ME the women. Not the Mother, wife, daughter or friend. But the essence of self ME.

Stephanie  Dowrick  all of her books are wonderful

Louise Hay  You can heal your life

Clarissa Pinkola Estes  Women who run with the wolves

All is OK in my world.

But some great people have had the sky just fall down on their head.
Love and light,
 Angela

Packing up Christmas

This morning, after breakfast we sat in front of the Christmas tree for the last time and sang Christmas carols.
We thanked the biggest Christmas tree that we have ever had for making our Christmas special.

We packed away all the decorations and put then into boxes for next Christmas.

Spatz was very worried when he saw the snips come out to cut up the tree. He had to give it one last full watering can "Because it is very thirsty and its leaves are like this (flops his hands).
Mama! Mama, what will the tree say when we cut it up? "
Concern etched into his little brow.

We talked about placing it in the green compost bins and then discussed the process for making compost.

He was silent.

Thinking, processing, organising and then finally talking.

"Maybe it will help to grow other trees in our garden when we get new compost. Then it will be here again."

He ran to get his scissors to help cut it up.

The cycle made sense to him.

Bless him and his love and care of all things living.
Bless his beautiful, gentle heart.
I love him.
I am grateful to bear witness daily to the wonderful soul that he is.
