We play

 This is Mein Spatz's playroom.
He sleeps in the family bed.
Uncle Ben, I still love playing with this.
 Cooking.
And small world play.

Our Family bed

Following on from my last post, I wanted to share how we sleep in a family bed.
We have a queen and a king-single side by side.
Mein Spatz starts the night in the king-single and often moves into the middle at about 3-4 am
seeking contact with his Mama or Vati. I often then role on to the king-single as the males in the house are warm sleepers and kick off the covers.
There is nothing better than waking up in the morning and seeing your child's beautiful face and hearing his first thought when he wakes up.

And not to forget the furry member of  our family. We pull out a mattress from under the bed and Henry sleeps there all wrapped up in his blankets (that is when he doesn't sneak up).

Wishing you all a cosy sleep.
Sleep well, dream well.

Sleep well, dream well.

Sleep baby, sleep.
Thy Father counts the sheep.
Thy Mother shakes the dreamland tree,
to send a little dream to thee.
Sleep, baby sleep.

We sleep together as a family.
We have a queen-bed with a king-single side by side.

We sleep well.
Just like our ancestors did.
Relying and trusting our mammalian linage.

Mein Spatz is firmly planted between the two people who love him most in the whole wide world.
Mama and Vati.

This will continue until our child is ready to sleep alone and wants his own space.

Maybe he wonders..... just as I did as a child......... where will his beloved fit when he gets married and has children?

The dreams and the bed can only get bigger.

Henry lays on his own side-car mattress on the floor beside our bed, guarding and protecting his pack.
Now that the cooler weather has kicked in he often sneaks up during the night and always finds the weakest link-Vati and snuggles under the covers.

Family in Japan............... a long way from home

My lovely, gorgeous, strong, gentle brother lives in Japan with his wife and two children.
He is safe out of harms way as they live here.
I love him and wish he was here in Australia.

Healing, healing blessing to the people of Japan.
May their sense of community help them through these difficult times ahead.

Here is a song that always reminds me of my brother and makes me cry.
I love you my darling little brother.
