Southern Season Exchange - Autumn 2011

We found a lovely surprise in our Post Box today.

We joined  Southern Season Autumn swap to make an Autumn gift for a partner's nature table.

My gift was made with such love, skill and attention to detail
by the lovely Natalie at  The little gnome home.
( Have a look at her site to see what we sent to her family )

A beautiful Autumn girl with plaits in her hair
and gorgeous little gum-nut hair ties.
Just so beautiful!

An Autumn felted leaf and a poem written on a hand-painted leaf.

.......Autumn winds come whispering
Autumn leaves come drifting
Wait till Spring comes peeping
   Warmth will come once more......

Thank-you very much Natalie for sending such a stunning addition to our nature table.
You should really think about opening a shop on your blog.

Thank-you also to Katie for organising the swap.

Sending you all love and light for Autumn and Easter.

Just popping out of my bubble..........to say....................

I hope that everyone can go easy on themselves because sometimes some nasty S#*T just happens.

Looking at a blog can make you think "Everyone else is just living this beautiful life and I am just crap!"

This is not true.

Bad things happen to good people all the time.

Husband/wife up and leave a good marriage.
Great children get nasty diseases.
Families face dire financial crisis.

The sky can even fall down- just ask Chicken Licken.

Things can just go from bad to worse before you can say HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I want to share some great Authors/books that have helped me, just ME the women. Not the Mother, wife, daughter or friend. But the essence of self ME.

Stephanie  Dowrick  all of her books are wonderful

Louise Hay  You can heal your life

Clarissa Pinkola Estes  Women who run with the wolves

All is OK in my world.

But some great people have had the sky just fall down on their head.
Love and light,
 Angela

Something special from a friend

At our post office this was waiting for us today.
Our lovely friends from stillparenting sent it for our nature table.
A lovely idea as Australian customs can be very strict.
We sent them some seed pods.

Dear Arianne,
Thank you for the wonderful photographs of native birds taken from your surroundings.
They will make a special addition to our nature table.
We have not met but I feel like I know you really well from your blog.
I feel like we are soul sisters.
I hope to become more descriptive and creative, as you are, the more that I write.
Sending you love and light from Adelaide, Australia.
 Angela

On another note, Mein Spatz and I have been house bound with the flu this week, a bit of cabin fever and hair dressing clippers turned this face into this..........

I don't think it suits him.
He looks a little rough and tough.

He said "That doesn't look like me Ernst-Wilhelm!"
But it does make him eyes look like chocolate drops.

A house for our friend Tomten - More felting........I cannot stop......I might end up felting the world!

Tomten has a new home. I felted this yesterday.
First I wet felted the dome and when it was dry applied the toad-stool spots, vines, flowers chimney and smoke.
I then felted it onto a base and felted a pond .

Been busy

I have found a new love.........
and fallen deeply.......   deeply..........
neglecting child, husband, dog, blog and dishwasher.

Who is it you ask?

The French man who liked the look of my blog picture and e-mailed me?
...... Nah !!!!

Who then?
It is a "what"
Dry felting

Mein Spatz loves poking at things- just like his Mama.
A little secret is....sh!
He loves the feeling of poking his fingers into watermelon wrapped in plastic in the grocers.

Just a little look as it is for a season table swap
I am involved in and posting tomorrow.

 See you soon ....
