Have you meet our twins?

These two gorgeous babies are Hans-Peter and Adeline.

They are turning three this May as they were welcomed into our family on Mein Spatz's 1st birthday. They started their life here.

Adeline was a gift from my mum, named after her Mother, and similar to herself as a child. Hans-Peter, with a double barrel first name like Mein Spatz, with his colourings from birth - brown hair and chocolate button eyes.

These two helped to teach my son empathy.

From the beginning they have been nurtured, love and cared for with loving hands and hearts by all of us. Modelled by us, at first, then copied by Mein Spatz as he grew.

I can not count the number of times that they have been up my shirt waiting to be born.
With Mein Spatz waiting for my waters to break- just like they did for his birth.
"Quick Vati! Get a towel Mama's water has broken."

This is worth watching

Getting back to the purpose of being with my child

He Wishes for the Cloths of Heaven

Had I the heavens’ embroidered cloths,
Inwrought with golden and silver light,
The blue and the dim and the dark cloths
Of night and light and the half light,
I would spread the cloths under your feet:
But I, being poor, have only my dreams;
I have spread my dreams under your feet;
Tread softly because you tread on my dreams.
            By William Butler Yeats

Lately Mein Spatz and I have been at loggerheads - daily. Both of us fighting for control and building up with resentment and anger. This was not serving us well at all and was even causing me to rethink our dedication to learning with him outside of conventional institutions.
But the I heard this poem here and the tears came flooding.

Happy Birthday to Henry..... or.......Woof! Woof! Lick! Lick!

Yesterday was Henry's 11th birthday. He is 57 if you use this.
In the morning he unwrapped a chicken treat and some expensive cat food, he has always loved anything remotely like seafood. Mein Spatz and I baked him a sugar free banana cake and we sang Happy Birthday.
Afterwards, Vati and Mein Spatz had work to do outside. It appeared, from the deck, that lots of fun was had by all the males in our house.

 Run Vati, ruuuuuuuunnnnnn!

Happy Birthday Dear Henry.

You have been a wonderful addition to our life. I cannot believe that 11 years ago we found a wonderful little puppy who has turned into the most marvelous of loyal, devoted and loving friends. Here is to MANY more years together.

Celebrating the change in seasons

The Autumn
The elf is waving good-bye to the Summer.
The wind carrying the scarf so far,
Puts it around my hand so softly-
Old wife Summer is carried by the wind.

Family in Japan............... a long way from home

My lovely, gorgeous, strong, gentle brother lives in Japan with his wife and two children.
He is safe out of harms way as they live here.
I love him and wish he was here in Australia.

Healing, healing blessing to the people of Japan.
May their sense of community help them through these difficult times ahead.

Here is a song that always reminds me of my brother and makes me cry.
I love you my darling little brother.
